Digital Preservation

Digital Preservation

The Criterion: An International Journal in English preserves its published content in the Internet Archive, a non-profit digital library, so that it remains permanently accessible even if this website becomes unavailable.

How our content is preserved

  • Internet Archive: the complete issues of Vol. 1–2 (2010–2011), the table of contents of every issue from 2012 to 2025, every article PDF from Vol. 17 (2026) onwards, and the journal’s main web pages are archived. Archiving of the individual article PDFs from 2012–2025 is in progress. Each new issue is archived on publication.
  • Crossref DOIs: every article from Vol. 17 (2026) onwards carries a permanent Crossref DOI (prefix 10.66376), so its citation link remains stable.
  • ISSN registration: the journal’s ISSN record (ISSN 0976-8165) is maintained by the ISSN International Centre.

Access to archived content

Archived copies can be viewed at any time through the Wayback Machine. Should this website ever become unavailable, the archived copies remain freely accessible to readers under the same Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) licence.

Author self-archiving

Authors may also deposit the published version of their article in institutional or subject repositories, with full citation and DOI. See our Publication Ethics policy for details.

For questions about preservation, please contact editor@the-criterion.com.

Policy effective from 18 October 2026.
